First-time author Husna Rahman took part in our Children's Book Masterclass and wrote a book to share her experience of losing her grandfather with young children, with the hopes that she would be able to help them process grief better. Her book 'I Lost Something Very Special' received rave reviews, has been showcased in classrooms and has won several awards.
Dubai-based Zenubia Arsalan took the opportunity to attend one of our workshops while on holiday in the UK. That chance encounter and a private consultation led to her rewriting and publishing her first children's book, 'Before Birth, Beyond Life'. She has since published two more books, 'The Cosmos that Allah Has Designed' and 'Between Fear and Hope: A Muslim Child's Journey'. Her books have garnered her press attention and support throughout the UAE, masha Allah.
Mona Zac's passion for sharing Islam with young children led her to write a collection of poetry reflecting on Allah's Names and Attributes. She published the beautifully illustrated 'Connecting with Allah' to critical acclaim and it has continued to sell well across the globe.
Lela Goldsmith worked with our team to turn her experiences with her grandmother in Zanzibar into a touching and relevant children's story. Alhamdulillah, she secured a publishing contract with Ruqaya's Bookshelf and the book was published as 'Bibi's Blessings'. Her second book, 'Not Too Little to Make a Difference', just came out in paperback!
Nu'afifah Binte Modh Hussain used her passion for the environment and early years education to write and publish her wonderful book, 'Growing Kitchen Scraps'. The book includes references and practical activities for young readers to do at home, an approach we encourage with all creative non-fiction books.
