Q. How does the Muslimah Writers Academy work?
A. The MWA is a free community in which Na'ima B. Robert and her team of coaches, writers and editors provide resources, training and support for Muslimah writers. This takes the form of a rich variety of content in a members' area and an active Facebook community where professional feedback, support and accountability are provided.
Q. Where are the resources stored?
A. All articles, checklists, cheat sheets and templates are stored in the members' area. As a member, you will receive your own private login information that you may use to access the content whenever you choose, as many times as you like. Live training takes place in the FB group and videos are uploaded to the members' area to be accessed at any time. The weekly Q&A sessions are held in the FB group.
Q. How do I know where to start?
A. When you join the MWA, you are asked a series of questions to determine where you are on your journey as a writer. Once you have answered these questions, you will know what stage you are at, which content is relevant to you, and which milestone you should be working towards. This is to prevent you feeling overwhelmed and confused by all the content. As long as you stay focused on achieving your next milestone, you will make progress, inshaAllah!
Q. What if I have already written my book?
A. Mabrook! If you have already written a book (or books!), the Professional tier is perfect for you. In this part of the Academy, we focus on writing books, getting published, building author platforms, book launches and marketing - exciting stuff!
Q. Will you edit my work?
A. Sr. Na'ima B. and her coaches can be hired to provide one-to-one coaching, editing and author development.
Q. Will I get any support or feedback?
A. Support is provided in our private Facebook group and there is a live Q&A with Sr. Na'ima/ Coach Hend every other week. This is to ensure that you get maximum results from your time in the Academy.
Q. Will you help me get published?
A. If you are ready to publish your book, we will upgrade you to the Professional tier where you will have access to resources on different publishing options, query letter templates, publisher resource sheets and more. We will be with you, every step of the way, all the way to your book launch and beyond, bi'idhnillah!
Q. How long do I have access for?
A. You will have unrestricted access to all the content in the MWA.
Q. What if I haven't written anything before?
